general
This is a lovely, centrally located hotel suitable for both groups and individuals. Please note that the coach has to drop guests off around the corner due to narrow canal streets. 10/2004/jg
lobby
The lobby is fairly spacious with an atrium linking the roof of the modern building with the bar which used to be an 18th century vicarage and is beautifully decorated with candelabras, dark wood and leather furniture.
exterior
The building has a modern exterior whereas the interior hosts a variety of styles, ranging from the 18th century to the far east.
restaurant
The public areas include a brasserie which serves traditional Dutch specialities as well as deli-style sandwiches. There is also an excellent a la carte restaurant.
rooms
The business class rooms offer additional comfort and amenities to the standard rooms, such as free movies, Nespresso coffee machines, bathrobe and slippers etc and are in very good condition.
location
This hotel is located in the heart of the old city, close to the museums, theatres, and main shopping area. The hotel is also very close to Dam Square.
