This hotel has undergone major renovation works in 2013 and now is a lovely small, family run 3 star property in the heart of the upmarket Old South neighbourhood of Amsterdam,. This area is home to the rich and famous, boasts numerous restaurants, cafes and boutiques, and is within walking distance to the museum quarter, the Leidseplein, and the Vondel Park
lobby
The entire hotel was given a overhaul in 2013 and the lobby is now a very large and very attractive space with beautiful lighting, plenty of seating as the lobby is also the breakfast room and bar, and even a lovely garden located at the back of the lobby area.

restaurant
The breakfast room is located on the first floor and has wooden flooring, purple chairs and an art nouveau feature fireplace.
rooms
The bedrooms are medium-sized and have undergone major renovations. They are now more modern with wood floors and gold finishes such as with the chairs and cushions but still contain a traditional and charming atmosphere due to the loving restoration of this historical building. The bathrooms are also renovated and are in pristine condition.
location
Located in an exclusive residential area in the south of Amsterdam with its boutiques and upmarket eateries, this hotel is only a few minutes walk to the Museumplein where the Van Gogh and Rijks and Stedelijk Museums are located and also close to the Leidseplein with its bars and restaurants and shops.
