Located on Fort street, in the centre of the city. Two city blocks from the waterfront area of the city and a 2 minute walk to Queen street.
rooms
These are the best rooms in the building, private double rooms. The bathrooms are shared. There are 10 fully equipped communal kitchens within the building, even so at peak times they can get busy.
restaurant
This is the Fat Camel cafe and bar with plenty of activities such as quiz nights and also some meal options. This is a great place to meet other travellers and make friends, swap handy hints, or stories of travels.

A small reception area with knowledgeable staff available to help plan and book activities and offer itinerary suggestions.
general
This is a great Backpackers in a very central location. Luggage storage facilities, personal safes, laundry with dryers and 24 hour reception. There is always plenty going on here and makes an ideal base for those at the start of their trip around New Zealand or those exploring Auckland. SE1008
